Greetings,
Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you. It informs you of receiving a letter from the Saudi Chambers Union, numbered (45102549), dated (19/6/1445 AH), regarding the Union's reception of a letter from the General Authority of Transport, numbered (3495/45/1), dated (6/6/1445 AH). This letter refers to the decision of His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistics, numbered (1130), dated (30/4/1445 AH).
In the first section of the decision, it is stated that the acceptance of applications for issuing licenses and adding vehicles in the public taxi service in the cities of Riyadh, Medina, Jeddah, and Dammam is to be suspended. However, exceptions are made for license applications and the addition of vehicles that are registered with the General Authority of Transport and requests to add vehicles for which there is evidence of purchase before the date of publishing this decision. The establishments are required to complete the application procedures and register the vehicles within a period of three months from the date of publishing this decision.
The second section of the decision states that licenses for public taxi services in the cities of Riyadh, Medina, Jeddah, and Dammam will be renewed based on the number of vehicles available to the establishment at the time of submitting the renewal application.
